The Bet David Sisterhood arrange many activities in order to raise funds for their various projects that they support.  This includes fundraisers,
jumble sales and the catering at weekly Shabbat Brochas.

This Sisterhood supports two feeding schemes in Alexandra, namely Leamogetswe and Zenzeleni Lower Primary School.    At Leamogetswe about 200 children, as well as some adults, receive a cooked lunch daily.  Regular supplies of groceries, staple foods and fresh vegetables are also supplied.  During the cold winter months, jerseys, beanies and blankets are provided.

At Zenzeleni , approximately 150 HIV/AIDS and destitute children receive a hot breakfast daily.   Uniforms, tracksuits, shoes and other clothing are also provided.  This Sisterhood provides support for families whose homes and belongings have been lost through fires and floods in Alexandra.  Zenzeleni has received an enormous amount of ongoing help from Rotary, and we thank Steve Margo for his support and arranging this.

The Bet David Sisterhood is associated with the Mitzvah School, which is in the beautiful grounds of Bet David.  Learners from disadvantaged backgrounds receive schooling for their Matric year.  This Sisterhood assists wherever possible and provides bursaries and sponsorships for the school, as well as with invigilating during exams.  Food parcels are sent home with students when possible.
